The Joker was many, many things.

Right now, thanks to the community, he was a drunken clown haphazardly throwing dirty old sheets over a bloodstained couch. After all, drunk or not he knew that Lisa probably - just probably - wouldn't enjoy sitting on or near blood. So, he'd hide it, even if that meant stumbling to and from rooms to get cleaner sheets - so that's where his feet went - just to make a better impression. The fact that it looked strange and out of place didn't really register to him.

And besides, there was a good chance she wouldn't show. After all, the community had seemed so very, very against it. Oh well, no loss.

Harvey glanced over at the warning look, somewhere between amused and irritated. She didn't belong, the Joker should know that but he was useless like this.

"Because she doesn't belong here." he answered, still returning her look with a dry glance of his own. "And you don't deserve her company."

As flattering as this was, Lisa was about done with people thinking they had to look out for her - and telling Joker he didn't deserve her company was just that. She rolled her eyes a little more exaggeratedly than was probably necessary and threw her arms up in exasperation.

"Fine. I'm leaving already."

"Good stuff?" Harvey spat, temper flaring again. It didn't matter how true what he said may be, as disjointed as it was, what Harvey had said was the truth. The shove had been unexpected enough to push him a few steps back, though now he was back to his footing, tired sort of frustration in his glare. He didn't think as he threw a punch at the other, barely as harsh or powerful as it could be, more an irate retaliation after the events of the day had worn his already strained control.

"Don't you dare talk about ruining things." He shot back lowly.

A brief scream had escaped Lisa as Harvey retaliated from the shove - she was expecting a much more powerful punch than what was actually delivered - before she was able to wrap her hands over her own mouth. This wasn't right. She hadn't come here to intervene in a fight but sure enough there she was, moving quickly between the two of them, navigating like a frightened mouse, staring at the floor as she reached out, putting a hand on both of their shoulders firmly, trying to push them apart.

"Stop it -- Stop it. You're acting like... idiots." She finally looked up, first at Harvey with a glare that told him to try and actually act the mature one, that she had expected better, and then at Joker. Lisa swallowed hard. She was in over her head. This wasn't her fight to interfere with and she wasn't sure she was in any position to take sides or mediate but she was just doing what came naturally and it was to stop this before it got worse.

The intervention gave Harvey pause as well, glance falling to Lisa as though he hadn't realized she was there, lingering a moment before he took a step back, expression unreadable. He gave her a long look, probing, as if trying to remember something before he snorted.

"Fine." He said, attention falling back to Joker at his nearly confused words. His lips quirked cruelly, faintly, after a moment. "A normal mediation." he said.

Lisa dropped her hands away from both of them, taking a deep breath. She had gotten out of that surprisingly unscathed. Good. That was good. With a shaky smile she nodded to the Joker, trying to assure that she was agreeing to his demands to cut the contact. Hands wringing in front of her, she just nodded.

"I'll go. I should go." Asserting such, she gave another curt nod and then promptly started for the door.
