Up until now, dropping subjects had at least seemed to be out of politeness. To suddenly drop this one earned a briefly confused look, but she nodded and was more than happy to accept it. She didn't need to think about Jackson anymore. Why did Joker, then, keep dropping the subject of him and then dragging it back up, more painfully, later? She sighed inadvertently aloud.

"I'm twenty-seven." Twenty-eight in July. She briefly wondered if she should be making birthday plans. It had been a while since she'd had a large get together with friends - or enough friends to do so with.
