He was already ripping into the burger by the time she mentioned water. "You know in Tijuana they say not to drink water from the tap, and it's kind of like that in this rathole so no, not really. Just some milk, it's only, uh, only two - two days over experation, that's fine, and uh."
His mind drew a blank and so he shrugged, taking a bite of the burger and sitting on the arm of the couch, facing Lisa and tottering only slightly. He squinted at her, brows furrowed - something looked off and it was her face, her face was wrong, or at least her eyes. "Were - uh, were you crying, Lisa?" He spoke around his burger and grinned, "I'm touched."
