Well, Joker's invitations usually get lost in the mail, so it's more like a business venture. Really. Besides, Joker gets the best seat in the house every time, and isn't that what Patrick likes? (Sure, he usually has to run people out before he gets it, but that's how Gotham works.) And hey, maybe he'd convince Harvey to come along. It's not gay if there's three guys instead of just two, right?

I'm sure the sound of Gotham PD at the door would motivate Patrick to run. Otherwise, there's that breaking-out-of-jail thing, which Joker's great at, and all, but he might be too lazy to help Patrick out... Then again, he does love a good breakout.
