Comment with a 5 + 1 list and I'll write a little drabble about it! Include the name of the characters, the ship (if applicable), and a general rating to go along with it.

You know, since I'm a total follower. In case you need a refresher, I play Joker, Emo, Sulu, Ryan, Jayne and HAL-9000.

Request at any time - be it five minutes from now or five months from now!

OK I CAN'T WRITE SAMARA BUT HERE GOES:

ONE:
The Joker's first attempt to break through that creepy, blank-faced attitude of Samara's involved taking her to Gotham's First National. Admittedly, her standing around while he had run around, chasing after screaming bankers like a kid after pigeons was sort of annoying, but her position at the door made it a lot harder for people to leave. He was very amused by the fact that anyone who tried to run to the exit seemed to halt, concerned and anxious in the face of her deadpan stare; it made grabbing them and dragging them back a lot easier, too. "You make a great partner, sweetie," he cooed at one point; she just turned his eyes on him and watched him as he planted a knife in somebody's arm.

TWO:
She was also a great help when it came to inciting moral dilemmas in Harvey, who had the weirdest hangups about little girls being present when they "held trial" over some greasy Italian mobster - so to speak, though the Joker wasn't fond of it, but it suited Harvey for the time being and the Joker was restless. And after only ten minutes of dealing with the one-word answers and those dark eyes, though, Harvey had given up trying to scare her out of the apartment. The Joker later quipped as he and the little girl walked back to his place that she would have done a much better job at dispatching the gangster than Harvey had. The stare he'd received, he imagined, was one of agreement.

THREE:
The Joker took Samara to a 24-hour diner one night, because he was conscious of the fact that little girls needed to eat more than just week old hamburgers and things delivered by men in clown masks. He forwent his makeup and donned civilian clothing, and though they still stood out like sore thumbs, it wasn't in a riot-inducing way. "Do you see that man in the, uh, over there, in the booth at the corner? He's making counterfeit bills in his basement. And she's planning on killing her husband. And look how calm they look, even though they're doing, well, going to do, are doing, it's beside the point, the point is, they're all planning on doing something and my job, that is, now it's your job too, I think, who knows? But our job is to show them it's okay to do what they want." It was hard to explain his worldviews in simple terms, and it came out all wrong, but Samara just pointed at a man dressed in a sharp suit, an expensive briefcase in hand.

"What is he?"

The Joker scoffed, laughed, and said, "Crazy."

FOUR:
Taking Samara places began to get a little boring, and the Joker decided he should try to do something fun with her. Something they'd both enjoy, instead of him enjoying and her tolerating. It was a strange moment of altruism that brought them to the Gotham Zoo at midnight, wandering between cages and taunting nocturnal carnivores with slabs of meat from the grocery store. As they passed by the hyena exhibit, Samara paused and stared. Finally, just when the Joker was getting bored of standing, she pointed and said, "Let's take one."

Needless to say, Samara went right back up into the Joker's good graces that night. (Unfortunately, the hyena got away from them halfway back to the hideout. It was too bad, because the Joker had already named it and given it a backstory.)

FIVE:
Samara's best use in the Joker's life was as bait. The Batman couldn't resist coming after him when he had an innocent little girl in his evil-doing clutches. The best part, though, was when the Joker had come out of the shadows behind the pale little girl, patting her on the head and receiving no flinch, no stare, no shriek - no nothing. He couldn't see much of the Batman's face, but he could tell that the other suddenly didn't know who to be on the defense from: the Joker or the little girl.

...AND ONE TIME THEY STAYED IN

ONE:
The Joker was feeling manic and paranoid one night, and so he boarded himself up in his room to work on something designed to be highly explosive and annoyingly hard to disarm. At nearly three in the morning, he went downstairs to find something to eat; he found Samara sitting on the couch, staring at the snow on the television. Finding a box of stale Lucky Charms, he wandered back into the living room and slouched on the couch next to the girl. "Anything good on?" he asked.

"Yes," Samara said, remaining otherwise silent. The Joker stared at the snow fizzling on screen and, for one of the most completely insane, amazing moments in his short-term memory, he thought he saw exactly what Samara was seeing in the static.

They watched until six thirty, when the antenna finally managed to pick up the morning news. It was decidedly less interesting than the static.

Hm...

The 5 times that Sulu made light of a situation and the 1 time that he couldn't. 8Db

Don't mind the icon. I'm just using it because I never get to use this icon, and it deserves more love.
